Course Description:

This is a workshop for photographers to capture themes specified by the instructor. This workshop will help the participants broaden their perspective on visual art and enhance their personal vision by going into an unfamiliar territory with a camera. The workshop will include slide shows of eminent photographers and a documentary. The participants will then experiment with their visual creativity and techniques.

The participants will get to know a bit of history, techniques, aesthetics and practice. There needs to be a strong involvement of the students to work as a group, involve in critiques, assist a fellow student and work as a group.

Students need to bring work they have previously done for group sharing.

The workshop schedule will consist of photo assignments with particular themes and participants will photograph the given theme over the week and the following weekend will share the photographs for group critique. They will get to understand the aesthetics of a photograph.

All participants will have to carry an SLR camera, film or digital and should have photography experience. The participants will learn the basics of the camera and apply the knowledge on their field trips.
