Terracotta Classes for adults

Terracotta has its roots in the Italian word meaning ‘fired earth’. This earthenware clay is brown in colour when it is raw and turns to its special orange colour when it is fired.

Terracotta is a flexible medium with which you can make many different things – traditional and contempory, functional and decorative, figurative or conceptual.

Here are some ideas for pieces/products that you could make in the class: Decorative pots for the garden, masks, abstract art, sculptural forms, candle-holders, tiles and many more. So come join our classes and bask in the contentment of making your own unique creation!

Batch 1 : Tuesday / Thursday
Batch 2 : Wednesday / Friday

Time: 11.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.

No. of sessions: 12 (Students need to enrol for a minimum of 12 sessions). You may continue classes through out the year by paying for 12 classes at a time.

Classes are ongoing. You may enrol anytime during the year.

Fee Details – for 12 sessions:

Rs. 2,400/- per person + 10.3% service tax
Registration fee (one-time) of Rs.500/- is applicable to all adults (>15 years) enrolling for the first time at active canvas

Firing details:

Charges: Rs.300/- per kilo. Please note that the firing charges may vary depending on the size of the piece.
Firing is scheduled once or twice a month. Please contact the front desk for details.
Minimum quantity for firing : 1 kilo.

Validity: 2 months from date of joining.

Course Type:

Ongoing class. Participants can join any time of the year.
Students have to enroll for a minimum of 12 classes. You could continue attending the classes through out the year by paying for 12 classes at a time.
Classes missed by students cannot be made up.
Please note that validity will not be extended.
