Mosaics have a glorious history – they have been made in ancient Mesopotamia, Rome, Greece and Central America. Today, this versatile art form is still practiced with a passion. Mosaics can be used to decorate walls, furniture, garden ornaments and photo frames. Images are built up on a surface using tiles, china, mirror, glass, pebbles or beads.
So come give this ancient art form a modern twist at active canvas. At active canvas, you can learn the basics of making two different types of mosaic.

Type A: Mosaic on a 1x1 piece of wood
Fees: Rs. 1,500 + service tax.
(Includes material cost for one 1 X 1 mosaic)
No. of sessions: 4
Duration: 1.5 hours each session

Please note :
You can choose from the designs available at active canvas or you may bring your own ideas. Your image must be approved by the instructor before you begin.
You have to sign up for a minimum of 4 sessions. Each session is 1.5 hours in duration.
We cannot guarantee the number of mosaics you will finish as it depends on pace, skill and complexity of the chosen piece.
The mosaics cannot be taken home until the end of the course, as instructor supervision is required during the process.
Safety gloves, safety goggles and tile cutters will be available for your use in the studio. The cost of the rest of the material required for one mosaic is included in the cost of the course.
